I think this is the latest possible Easter. Only a week before May Day!

As far as I'm concerned, Spring starts the week I turn the heating off. That was at the beginning of April, when we had a few hot days. Then the weather returned to type, and a week ago I was still wearing winter clothes and stubbornly not turning the heating back on. Then on Tuesday, BOOM ... HOT. It's already lasted longer than the previous spell and been more solidly hot and dry; now it's windows in summer configuration, T-shirt and no vest or coat, sun-cream and hiding from the light with the curtains drawn, fruit-juice and salad weather. Summer!

Shortest spring ever. And too hot for a proper chocolate binge for Easter, darnit! It's like, March was still February, and now it's May. What will it be like in June?!

In my part of the woods, it may be November! We had hail-rain-thundersnow last week, killed most of the early flowers.

My heat went off a couple of weeks ago when we suddenly got unusually high temperatures. My heat usually goes off 1st May whatever the weather. I fear we will return to cooler temperatures soon but whether to put the heat back on or not?
